Okay, ladies, it’s time to FINISH
THE BOOK in 2007. We have some great incentives offered by
editors, agents,
and published authors as outlined
below. It doesn’t matter when your book was started, as
long as it’s finished in 2006. By finished, I mean completed
and polished to the best of your ability. First drafts don’t
count. These are some great opportunities, so you want to put
your best foot forward.
All
members, including long-distance, are eligible to participate. You
may be published or unpublished.
To
qualify, the first draft of the manuscript must be finished in 2006,
without regard to when it was started or how close to completion
it is on January 1, 2007. Additionally, you must completely edit
the manuscript to the best of your ability before claiming your
prize.
Not all editor/agent/author
replies have been received, so incentives may be added from time-to-time
throughout the year.
Only
one incentive may be claimed per manuscript, and each incentive
may be claimed only once unless otherwise stated in the incentive.
(Claimed incentives are marked in gold type)
To
claim an incentive, contact Donnell
Epperson, Terri Weldon,
Gena Showalter, or Sheila
Fields. One of us must see the finished manuscript, either in
printed form or electronically, and provide you with mailing instructions.
Choose
your incentive carefully. This is a great opportunity to break past
the slush pile.
Best
of luck to all. Now FINISH THE BOOK!
