FAB Finally a Bride Contest

Official Rules

Eligibility: Participation is open to all unpublished authors of novel-length romance fiction. All work must be the author’s original work, and cannot be contracted for publication prior to the entry deadline. Each manuscript must have finaled, but not won in a previous RWA or RWA chapter-sponsored contest. (Manuscripts which placed in the Top Quarter of the Golden Heart are also eligible.)

Entry Deadline: All entries must arrive via email by midnight on September 1, 2008.

Entry Fees: Entry fee is $25.00 for all RWA members, and $30 for all non-RWA members.

You may pay through by sending the payment to the OKRWA Treasurer or snail mail your payment to:

If using PayPal, please put the category, MS title and 'FAB' in the subject line. If sending a check through the mail, please write the category and MS title on the check.

Emailing entries: Please email submissions in RTF or Word doc format to okrwabride@aol.com. In the subject line, YOU MUST put your entry title and category. Please include a completed entry form. A cover page is not necessary.

Manuscript Format

Author’s name and TITLE may not appear anywhere on the manuscript or the entry will be disqualified!

Entry must be the first pages of your manuscript with the total entry no longer than 30 pages.

Entry must be presented in proper standard manuscript format (double-spaced and approximately one-inch margins size 12 font).

Header on manuscript pages should contain the category and FIRST LINE of the manuscript in the upper left corner and the page number in the upper right. NOTE: It is not necessary to include the entire first line, the first five words or so is sufficient.
